Robert Alexander Lansing, IL Robert Alexander, 89, of Lansing, IL , passed away on Friday, October 15, 2004. He is survived by one brother, Dale Alexander and one sister Mildred Cave. He was preceded in death by wives: Irma Suds, Vera Cook and Florence Kosina, one brother Glenn Alexander and one sister, Leah Haxton. Funeral services will be Monday, October 18, 2004 at 11:30 AM from the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing, IL, Burial, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip, IL. Friends may visit with the family on Monday beginning at 10:30 a.m. Mr. Alexander was born on August 4, 1915 in Spring Valley, IL to William and Ella (nee Billard) Alexander. He came to Chicago at age 14 in 1929. He graduated from Tilden High School in Chicago, and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a Sergeant under General Patton in his march through Europe. He retired as a supervisor from Apollo Metal Works.
