Dwaine K. Felmlee, age 85 of Le Sueur, died at the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 with his family at his side. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Le Sueur, MN. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:30 a.m. Burial with military honors will be at Mound Cemetery in Le Sueur. Complete obit. will be posted Thursday afternoon late.

Dwaine K. Felmlee, age 85 of Le Sueur, died at the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 with his family at his side. Dwaine was born on July 18, 1930 in St. Peter, MN to Kenneth and Alvera (Brandt) Felmlee in St. Peter, MN. He grew up in St. Peter and graduated from St. Peter High School. He served in the United States Army from Jan. 16 1951 – Nov. 25 1952 during the Korean War. He also served in the Minnesota National Guard for several years. He married Milly Goebel on September 3, 1955 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arlington, MN. Dwaine and Milly spent most of their married life in Le Sueur. He worked for Culligan Water, owned and operated the Standard Gas Station in Le Sueur and was a policeman for a short time. He also drove cement trucks for Otting Ready Mix and bulk milk trucks. He later worked for Le Sueur County as a mechanic, Clover Leaf Milk delivering door to door and Hubbard Milling for 8 years. After her retired, he drove truck part-time in the summer. Dwaine also served on the Le Sueur Fire Dept. for 23 years. He enjoyed snowmobiling, horse shoes, bowling, trapshooting and wood working. Milly would also talk him into going to the casino on occasions. Dwaine was always willing to go that extra mile for friends and strangers.
Dwaine is survived by his sons, Mark (Mary Ann) of LeCenter, Steve of LeSueur, David (Darla) of Arlington and Dan (Kelli) of LeSueur; 8 Grandchildren, Lynn, Andrew, Jenna, Jonathan (Kami), Bradley, Daniel, Ashley and Caitlyn and 5 Great grandchildren, Alyssa, Trevor, Madison, Paige & Evangeline. Brother, Dale (Doris) Felmlee of Le Sueur; sister, Janice Lammers of New Ulm, MN. Sister-in-Law, Carol Goebel of Shakopee, MN. Many nieces, nephews and in-laws, he was also known as “Grandpa” to many others. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Milly in 2014 and Brothers-in-Law, Gordon Lammers and Charles Goebel.
