Constance J. "Connie" Vail, 80, of Easton, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 in Old Orchard Healthcare. Born June 19, 1935 in Easton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Gertrude M. Schreck Newman.
Connie retired from Easton Hospital where she was employed for 35 years. She was a 1953 graduate of Easton High School. Connie loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting and reading. She was a faithful member of Faith Community Assembly of God, Palmer Township.
Surviving is her husband, Donald Sr.; a daughter, Bonnie Meischeid and her husband Tom, of Palmer Township; three sons, Donnie Jr. and his wife Dorothy, of Williams Township, Ron and his wife Michelle, of Easton, and Jon and his wife Linda, of Palmer Township; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Joyce Abel and Evelyn Castiglia.
Services will be held at 1pm Tuesday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 602 W. Berwick St., Easton. Call Tuesday Noon-1pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
