C. A. Cox of Roland, accompanied by his uncle, G. W. Cox of Memphis, Hall County, were pleasant visitors at this office this morning. The latter was accompanied to Collin County by his son, Ellis Cox, and they expect to spend two or three weeks with Mr. Cox's nephews A.C., R.O. and J.W. Cox, all of the Roland community. This is Mrs. Cox's first visit to McKinney and Collin County. He has been residing at Memphis for the past twenty years, or ever since he came to Texas from Missouri. He was a friend and acquaintance of the late Capt. F.M. (Tuck) Hill, having known him in Missouri, and having served with him some during the war. Mr. Cox is seventy-four years old and holds his age remarkable well. In fact, he is active and looks much younger than he really is.
