Gena Lynn Roach, 51, passed away at home on Monday, January 25, 2016.

A native and lifelong resident of Jesup, Gena was born on February 6, 1964. Her diagnosis of special needs at an early age led her father, Gene and late mother, Bobbie to form what was formerly known as Happy House School and Landmark Service Center and is currently known as Wayne Service Center of which she was the first child enrolled and had been one of the oldest founding members. Gena attended the center on a daily basis and always enjoyed participating in the group activities, particularly those involving outdoor events. She also loved music and swimming but her greatest love of all was her daddy.

Her mother, Bobbie Davis Roach preceded her in death and her grandparents.

Survivors include her father and stepmother, Gene and Beth Roach of Jesup; brother and sister-in-law, David and Elizabeth Roach of Savannah; two nieces, Anna Margaret Roach and Evelyn Rae Roach; two aunts, Willa Cochran of Macon and Sherry Davis Hardman of Forsyth; uncle, Jim Davis and wife, Glenda of Macon; step sister and brother-in-law, Kelsi and Shane Nolen of Brunswick and their children, Julianne and Ashton; step brother and sister-in-law, Cliff and Emily Wildes of Statesboro and their children, Ford and Wynn. A host of extended family members and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Todd officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be John Benner, Cliff Wildes, Kevin McCrary, Gary Cochran, Barry Cochran and Shane Nolen.

Honorary pallbearers will be her caregivers, Sabrina Horne, Shannan Sapp and Liz Evans and the staff and special friends who attend Wayne Service Center.

Remembrances may be made to Wayne Service Center, 3850 Sunset Blvd., Jesup, GA 31545.
