Rosella was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Otero Sr., her father, Federico Abeyta, mother, Barbarita "Barbara" G. Abeyta and brothers, Leonardo "Lenny" Abeyta and Joseph O. Abeyta.
Rosella is survived by her sons, Kenneth R. Otero Jr. and David A. Otero, daughter, Karen J. Rodríguez (Richard), brothers, Leonidez "Leo" Abeyta and Fred Abeyta (Petra), sisters, Lillian Romero (Moses), Barbara L. Abeyta, Betty V. Bueno (Anastacio), Shirley A. Abeyta, Jane García, Hilda Padilla and Judy L. Abeyta (Rick), sister-in-law, JoAnn Abeyta, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
Rosella had a strong love for her family, always put others first and caring only for those around her. Rosella loved going to church on Sunday with her sister, always looked forward to outings, dinners, traveling and watching movies with her older brother and any family get togethers. Rosella also loved roses, music, butterflies and horses. Rosella was a hard working and very strong woman who will be greatly missed.
Rosella's Life Celebration will begin with a Funeral Service on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 12:00 noon in the Reflection of Life Chapel, Washington and Cutler NE. Burial to follow at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM at 3:00 p.m.
