Marjorie C. McMahon, age 95 of Fredericktown, moved to Heaven, on Tuesday January 26, 2016 at the Laurels of Mount Vernon. Marjorie was born July 22, 1920 in Chester Township, Morrow County to Hoy E. and Ethel C. (Ackerman) Galleher and moved to Fredericktown when she was in the second grade. Marjorie graduated from Fredericktown High School in 1938 and married William “Bill” McMahon on August 24, 1943. Marjorie loved all animals and always had cats and dogs as part of her family. She had been an active part of the First Baptist Church in Fredericktown since 1931. Through the years she was a Sunday School teacher, choir director, American Baptist Ministries, Deaconess, and nursery worker. Mission support and work were very important to Marjorie and when she was 80 years old, she went to Mexico on a mission work trip. She was a member of the Knox County Chapter of American Gold Star Mothers, Inc. , a lifetime member of Unit 500 American Legion Auxiliary of Fredericktown and had volunteered for Hospice of Knox County. Marjorie would appreciate everyone showing more love and kindness to others as she always tried to follow Jesus in everything she did. Surviving is her son Ronald (Cheryl J.) McMahon of Bellville: grandchildren David (Aimee) McMahon of Mansfield and Carl (Connie) McMahon of Fredericktown and great grandchildren Justin McMahon and Brittney McMahon. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband William McMahon in 1993, her son William L. “Billy” McMahon in Vietnam in 1968, 3 brothers Louis Galleher, Wayne Galleher and Carl Galleher, and her sister Anna Miriam Grant.
