On June 11, 1941, Corrine was united in marriage to Alfred Vernon "Bill" Hansel at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Garber. They had eight children; seven survived her.

They farmed in the Garber area and later operated Bill's Place in Elkport. Corrine also worked as a cook in numerous locations for many years.

After her husband's death, she resided in Elkport until the flood of 2004 at which time she moved to Yankee Settlement in Edgewood, Assisted Living in Elkader, and in June of 2015 moved to the Guttenberg Care Center.
