Sara-Ruth Tanner Adamson Johnson

Early Life: Sara-Ruth was born April 30, 1942, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Colvin Reece and Doris Burt Tanner. They lived there a few months then moved to Payson, Utah. She attended grade school and graduated from Payson High School.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Sara-Ruth was the everlasting life of Donald Adamson's eyes. They were sealed May 19, 1961, in the Salt Lake Temple. They had a daughter, Cindy Lee, born January 18, 1965. Donald passed away May 14, 1968. Sara-Ruth then married Alfred "Scoop" Johnson on February 16, 1970, at the Salt Lake Temple for time, only here on earth. Sara-Ruth became a family of six, a loving step-mother to Darla, Teresa and Lisa. Sara is a kind and gentle friend who unconditionally loved everyone and was someone who never uttered an unkind word. She served many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including Primary teacher, Young Women teacher, counselor in the stake Young Women, Primary president, and Relief Society counselor. She loved serving three years at the MTC and two years in the baptistery at the temple. Sara-Ruth Tanner Adamson Johnson a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, returned to her Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ. She passed away January 24, 2016, of a stroke in Mountain View Hospital in Payson, Utah. She was 73.
Family Message: "Sara-Ruth was an example of forgiveness and strength. We know we will be reunited because of our Savior's atonement and our Heavenly Father's plan."
Survived By: Her husband, Scoop Johnson; four daughters: Darla Losee (Alvin), Teresa Menlove (John), Cindy Dansie (Dan), Lisa Wignal (Wayne); 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her sisters: Patty Openshaw, Barbara Harding, Mary Moore, Kelli Lacerda; and brothers: Lee Tanner, James Tanner and John Stuart.
