Born in Forbes, Mo., on March 1, 1912, she lived in St. Joeph, but spent most of her life in Kansas City. She was of the Catholic faith.
Mrs. Callahan was preceded in death by her husband, James A., in 1955; and her parents, George R. and Arbelian Sipes.
Surviving: a daughter, Catherine Edmiston, Kansas City; a brother, Ray Sipes, California state; a sister, Pansy Sipes, St. Joseph; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.
Graveside service and burial: 11 a.m. Friday, Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO.
