Doris was Methodist by faith. She enjoyed playing bridge and crocheting, and was a born administrator. Doris loved traveling with her late husband Forrest.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband Forrest, parents, special friend Joe D. Dusek, Sr.; god-daughter, Mary Lou Wedel.
She is survived by her loving family including her nephew, William "Butch" Acker and his late wife Joy of Texarkana; great-niece, Terri Acker also of Texarkana; god-children, J. Daniel Dusek, Jr. of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Diana "Che Che" Smith and husband Dave, C. Elijah Dusek and wife Lana, William Forrest Dusek and wife Gina all of Denison; Barbara Bateman Stampley of Ennis and Beverly Bateman Wells of South Lake; special friend, Marjorie Dusek also of Denison, and Dr. and Mrs. Nghia Truong and family of Tyler.
