Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late John F. Acker and Corrie LaBoone Acker.
Mrs. Durham and her husband owned and operated Durham's Woodworks in Pickens. She was a member of The Pickens Presbyterian Church and the Cannon Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Surviving is a son, John W. "Bill" Durham and his wife, Phyllis, of Easley; grandchildren, Patricia McCoy, Mitchell McCoy (Michele), Jean Durham and Matthew Nix (Lindsay); great grandchildren, Benjamin, Joshua, Michael, and Sophia McCoy, Hannah Cadenhead, and Mandy Snyder (Brian); and a great-great grandchild, Ariel Snyder.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Peggy McCoy Peterson; a granddaughter, Tamula Kate Durham; and two grandsons, Len Griffin Durham and Gregory McCoy; brothers, James F. Acker, and W.G. (Bill) Acker; and a sister, Frances Sapp.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 2:00 PM in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
