Miss Bessie Maude Absher, 76, Lamar Avenue, died this morning at 2:30 a.m. at the residence following a long illness. Funeral tomorrow at Collier-Butler Chapel and burial in Crestwood Cemetery. She was a member of First Avenue Baptist Church, a resident of Etowah County for 15 years and a native of Blountsville. She is survived by a half-sister, Mrs. F.E. Absher, of Gadsden.
