Funeral services for Maxine L. “Mackie” Doescher age 89 of Beemer, NE will be on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Beemer, NE. Interment will be in the Beemer Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Minnick Funeral Home in Beemer and will continue on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Maxine passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Pender Community Hospital in Pender, NE.

Maxine Louise (Eggers) Doescher was born on January 14, 1927 in Cuming Co., Nebraska to George and Laura (Spreen) Eggers. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Wisner, NE. She attended Cuming Co. Rural School District #64, Zion Parochial School and graduated from Wisner High School in 1944.

On May 19, 1948, she was united in marriage to Allen Doescher at Spencer, IA. Mackie was a bookkeeper for the Farmers Elevator in Beemer for 36 years.

Mackie was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beemer, was a Sunday School teacher for many years, served as treasurer, and was on its Finance Board.

Son-Craig and wife Kris Doescher of Beemer, NE
Granddaughters-
Dawn and Scott Peatrowsky and daughter Faith
Tara and Ernie Fierro and children Keegan and Manuel
Sister- Gwen and Artie Schmidt of Wisner, NE
Sisters-in-law-Alice Eggers of Omaha, NE
Dottie Doescher of Beemer, NE

She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Mackie was preceded in death by her parents, husband-Allen in 1986, and her brother-Wymore Eggers.
