Rosalind K. “Rosie” Herrell, 62, Peru, passed away at 3:41 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010 at her daughter’s residence in Peru.
She was born March 23, 1948 in Peru to Cecil and Hazel (Miller) Clingaman. She married Max E. Herrell in 1967, and he
preceded her in death in 1979. Rosie was formerly employed by Orkin Inc., Kokomo. She enjoyed family and friends, loved
camping and country music. Survivors include two daughters, Christina Herrell and friend Larry Mongosa, Peru, and Tammy
Meadows, La Fontaine; two sons, Max E. Herrell II, Marion, and Curtis Herrell, Fishers; five grandchildren, twins Braxton and
Dalton Herrell, Nicholette Herrell, Dillon Meadows and Nathan Miller; dear friends, Marie Neely, Brandy Neely and M.
Wesley Newman; and two sisters, Carolyn Everest, Lafayette, and Cindy Beaver and husband Mallory, Peru. She was
preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and an infant brother, Charles. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at
Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W. Third St., with Pastors John Thomas and Joe Hipskind officiating. Burial will be in
Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family would like
to thank everyone who helped care for their mom during her illness.
