Robert Wyatt Hedges, age 79, died Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Springview Hospital, in Lebanon, Kentucky. He was born in Milford, Kentucky, on October 4, 1936, to the late William T. and Rebecca Jane McDowell Hedges. Mr. Hedges had worked for Ladish and was a painter. He attended Southland Christian Church, was a member of St. Andrews Masonic Lodge #18 and was an honorably discharged Army Veteran.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Betty Lou Darnell Hedges; five brothers, Roy Hedges, Marvin Hedges, Garvis Hedges, William "Billy" Hedges and Dexter Hedges; and a sister, Rosemary Wilshire. Survivors include: his stepson, Allan (Bridgett) Magee; one sister, Ruby Hedges; a sister-in-law, Vickie Hedges; four nieces; four nephews; and four grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Rev. Denny Gosney, with burial in Elizaville Cemetery with Military Honors. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Active pallbearers are Marshall Darnell, Aaron Magee, Austin Magee and Joey Busher.
