Cecil "Fred" Badgett, Jr. 71, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at a Saint Joseph, MO health care center. He was born January 14, 1945 in St. Joseph, MO. He attended Benton High School and was a truck and bus driver, working most recently at St. Joe Transit. He loved to listen to Elvis and country music, and enjoyed fishing when he was younger. He was a former member of King Hill Baptist. Fred was preceded in death by father, Cecil Frederick Badgett. Survivors include, mother, Geraldine Parr of St. Joseph, MO, two sons, Randy Badgett, and Fred (Penny) Badgett, four daughters, Vickie (Harry) Smith, Shelly (Kenny) Kahler, Sandy Badgett, and Amy Badgett. seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Sister Barb Conroy officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
