"Penn Yan, Mar. 12 — Charles Hamm is dead at the Soldiers' and Sailors' Hospital as the result of injuries suffered when he was struck in the head by a northbound train on the Pennsylvania railroad here Tuesday.

He leaves his father, Joseph Hamm, a brother, TeWalt; two sisters. Mrs. Addie Kibble and Mrs. Walter Jones, all of Penn Yan. The funeral will be held from the Thayer Funeral Home in East Elm street Saturday afternoon with the Rev. S. J. Houghton of the Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Lake View cemetery."
