Per her death certificate found on Ancestry.com: per her death certificate found on Ancestry.com: she was a daughter of George W. Coleman and Mary Elizabeth Stevenson, and the widow of Julian R. Shelton. She resided in Blairs, Fairfield, S. C. and died at Chester County Hospital of cerebral thrombosis and arteriosclerosis. The informant was Mrs. Grady Wright of Blairs, S. C.

Found in The State 08 September 1957: CHESTER-Sept. 7-Mrs. Sarah Isabelle Coleman Shelton, 83, of Shelton, widow of Julian Redwood Shelton, died this morning at the Chester County Hospital after an illness of some time. A native of the Feasterville section of Fairfield County, she was a daughter of the late George Coleman and Elizabeth Stevenson Coleman. Mrs. Shelton was educated at the old Columbia Female College. She was a member of the historic Liberty Universalist Church at Feasterville. For more than 20 years, she was a member and officer in the Richard Winn chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of the Coleman-McConnell chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Feasterville Home Demonstration Club. She was twice married, first to Howard Leitner Allen of Columbia, who died in 1900. In 1916, she married Julian Redwood Shelton, prominent merchant and rural mail carrier of Shelton. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. B. H. Rossom Jr., and Mrs. H. G. Wright, and one son, H. S. Allen, all of Shelton; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Jesse Chappel of Columbia and Mrs. Mary C. Forcher of Daytona Beach, Fla.; four brothers, H. Lee Coleman of the home; L. A. Coleman of Dayona Beach, Fla., R. C. Coleman of Waco, Texas, and W. L. Coleman of Pensacola, Fla., and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Chapel of Barron's Funeral Home, here, after which the funeral cortege will leave for Columbia, where interment will be made in Elmwood Cemetery at 4 p.m. The Rev. R. R. Wallace, pastor of Salem Presbyterian Church, will be in charge of the service.
