Wife: Helem Klemm; married Sept. 11, 1943.

George graduated from Pottsville High School. He was an US Army veteran of World War II. He worked in the strip mining business in West Virginia and employed for 20 years with the S.J. Groves Co. of Canton, Ohio. His affiliations include memberships in: New Lebanon Community Church; Unity Presbyterian Church in Greenfield, PA; Mahoning-New Castle Lodge 243, F&AM, the Valley of New Castle Consistory, the men's garden club Florida.

Relatives: three sons and two daughters-in-law, George W. Jr. and Wilma Lightcap, Bruce F. Lightcap, and Edward J. and Beverly Lightcap; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Dutch Brommer; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Mary Lightcap and James and Norma Lightcap.

Funeral director: Scott A. Black Funeral Home, Stoneboro. Burial at New Lebanon Cemetery.
