He was born on January 24, 1923 in Portage, OH to Charles and Mary (Epke) Aufdencamp.
On May 1, 1948 he married Joan R. Akenberger in Stony Ridge, OH and she survives.
Bill was a WWII Army Veteran serving under General George Patton in the 6th Cavalry and European Theater and was then honorably discharged. After returning from the service he became a life-long farmer and later worked at the Ace Hardware, Rossford, OH.
In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, vacationing in Canada and wintering in Venice, FL.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 67 years: Joan, children: Karen Miller, Glen Aufdencamp, Deb (Mike) Mahr, Charles Aufdencamp, Marilyn (Dave) Atkin, Janice (Tim) Gettig, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters: Earnest, Henry, Richard, Josephine, Frieda, Pauline, Mildred, Marie and son-in-law
