Robert Batchelor. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive guests on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Lester was born on June 7, 1933, and passed away on January 18, 2016. He was born in Selma, LA and graduated from Jena High School.

Mr. Lester was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. In later years, hunting and fishing took a "back seat" to crossword puzzles and playing Skip Bo. Lester was a member of Overcoming Faith Church, a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and always put the needs of others first. He will be deeply missed!

Left to cherish his memory is wife of 59 years, Pearl LaCour; sons, Reggie LaCour and wife Rita, and Lowal LaCour; daughter, Pam Spayth and husband Tom; grandchildren, Ryan and Ronnie LaCour, and Seth and Colton Spayth; great-grandson, Nate LaCour; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
