J.D. and Henrietta Barnes owned and operated Western Sizzlin Steak House in Lumberton, NC and prior to that Johnson’s Restaurant in Dunn, NC.
A graveside service will be held 2p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Greenwood Cemetery with Mr. Lane Bass.
He is survived by his son, Jerry H. Barnes and wife Phyllis of Asheboro, NC; daughter, Cynthia Barnes Gleaves and husband Mike of Fayetteville, GA.; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; his very special companion, Peggy Grovenstein of Chattanooga, TN; and an extended family member, Ernestine Hargrove Ennis of Kinston, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to charity of your choice.
