Mrs. DEVERT BLANCHE KERN, wife of Louis Kern, and daughter of Charles and Sadie Weddle, Thurmont, died at the Frederick City hospital Saturday evening where she had been taken earlier in the day for observation, aged 44 years, 5 months and 18 days.
Her husband, and three children, Sadie, Margaret, and John Kern, all at home, survive. Also surviving her are brothers and sisters: Charles Weddle, Gettysburg; John and Libert Weddle, Thurmont; Mrs. Oscar Miller, Catoctin; Mrs. John Burkholder, Garrett, Pa.
Funeral services were held at the Thurmont M.E. church; interment in U.B. Cemetery; M.L. Creager and Son were the funeral directors.
