Benjamin Davis Brock, Jr., Age 77, died in Houston, Texas on January 17, 2016, following a long struggle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born February 17, 1938 in Greenville, Mississippi to parents Benjamin D. Sr., and Dorothy "Kitty" (Baker) Brock. Ben grew up in Mississippi and went on to attend Ole Miss, graduating in 1960 with a degree in Business. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Ben retired in 1998 after 25 years with Prudential Insurance Co. Prior to that, Ben's career included other jobs such as: freight forwarder for Staple Cotton Cooperative, safety engineer and industrial paint salesman. Ben & his wife, Betsy, loved to travel and to spend time with their children and grandchildren who lived on opposite sides of the country. So much so they lived full-time in their motorhome for over 13 years sightseeing, visiting friends and crisscrossing the U.S. and parts of Canada. They enjoyed attending RV rallies with other "full-timer" friends and were active in related organizations. Ben is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betsy; children: Benjamin D. III (Sharon) Brock of Michigan and Suzanne (Dan) Johnston of California; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
