He was born April 23, 1915 in Ferndale to Henry and Elga (Furman) Carle and attended the Ferndale Schools. "Bill" married Lois Bennett on March 7, 1941, she preceded him in death in 1988. He moved to Seattle in 1949 and was a truck driver for Boeing Aircraft Mfg. until retirement in 1985. He was a member of Teamsters Local #174 of Seattle.
