Graveside services for Mrs. Pauline Belk Caldwell Smith will be held Tuesday at 11 am in the Pleasant Grove UMC Cemetery in Kemper Co. Revs. Randy Caldwell and Don Cook will be officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Smith, 94, of Bailey passed away Sunday at J.G. Alexander Nursing Home in Union. She had previously worked in the shipyard in Pascagoula and the shirt factory in Meridian, but the job she enjoyed the most was that of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great and great great grandmother. She held a deep love for her family and enjoyed taking care of her yard and flowers, cutting her own grass into her 90s.

Survivors include her daughters Linda Gail Hughes (Bobby) of Sevierville, TN, Deborah Caldwell of Collinsville, Monica Sullivan (Frank) of House; son Klein W. Caldwell Jr. (Kathy) of the Centerhill community; grandchildren Bobby Hughes Jr., Chantel McLeod, Klein Caldwell III, Leslie Joyner, Melanie Kelly, Nicole Douglas, Brittney Sullivan; great grandchildren Fallon and Carrington Hughes, Kayla, Micah and Ethan Douglas, Nathan and Joseph McGuire, Elizabeth and Haley Kelly, Landon, Damon and Cannon McLeod. Mrs. Smith is also survived by a great great grandchild Aubrey McGuire and brother Gary Belk of Jackson, MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Mary Elizabeth Belk; husbands Klein Caldwell and John W. Smith; siblings Rufus, J.D., Herman, Dewey, Arley and Norman Belk, Ruby Grace Cruthfield, Bennie Mae Vincent, Catharee Narmore and grandson Derek Jolly.

Pallbearers serving will be James Earl Cockerham, Durwood Belk, Lane Belk, Walter Lee Caldwell, Wayne Wiggins, and Mickey Vick.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 5pm to 7pm at Stephens Funeral Home.
