Mrs. J. R. Hilton, 79, Ruston housewife, died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lincoln General Hospital following a short illness.
The deceased was a native of Shiloh and a charter member of Cook Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday in Cook Baptist Church with Revs. Marvin Jones and Hoyt Greer officiating, assisted by Rev. A. B. Fuller.
Burial will take place in Cook Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatricks Funeral Home of Ruston.
Survivors include her husband, James Russell Hilton of Ruston, two daughters, Mrs. H. L. Beard and Mrs. Mary Bess Harris, both of Ruston, one son, James Harold Hilton of Ruston; two brothers, Clinton C. Davis of Ruston and Loyle F. Davis, Sr. of Port Arthur, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. H. Clete Edwards of Rusk, Tex., Mrs. Albert P. Haws of Ruston and Mrs. Lee Tinsley of Simsboro; six grandchildren a 4 great-grandchildren.
