Margaret was the first wife of my Great Grandfather, Jesse Albertson. Even though I have not been able to find her burial site, I do want to have a memorial for her with the information that I do know. The spelling of her maiden name, I have found as Hulet, Howlett, Howlet. I do not know the correct spelling,
Margaret was the daughter of Bolley (Hopkins) and Obedier Howlet. I have found that her parents, Bolley Hopkins marrried Obedier Howlet 11-10-1804 in Rockingham Co., NC.
Margaret was a sister to Obed Hulett Jr. b 1807. He married Martha Albertson, sister of Jesse, (my Great Grandfather). They had at least two, unmarried daughters (Christina and Sarah Albertson). Both died in Forysth Co., NC and buried in Forsyth Co. NC.
Another brother that I found is Martin Hulett b 1820 in Davidson Co NC. He married Rebecca Vestal. Nothing further on him.
Margaret, wife of Jesse Albertson married Jesse Albertson 7-19-1836 in Davidson Co NC. In Mom's old family records, is written, Margaret, wife of Jesse Albertson died 3-29-1844 in NC Margaret and Jesse had a son Richard Albertson b 1838, Daughter Mary Albertson 1841-1921, daughter Martha Albertson 1843. Also written in Mom's old records, Margaret and Jesse had a son, Amos, died 6-21-1844, and a son William, died 6-28-1847. My theory is that Margaret died giving birth to Amos, or died shortly there after. Just my theory. Margaret died in Davidson Co. NC and is buried there, but cannot find her burial site. She married about the age of 19 and died about 27 yrs. of age, thus making her children born very closely together.
So sorry I can't locate her burial site.
