Husband of Lucille E. McLearn of Rio Dell. Father of Hugh McLearn, Fred McLearn, and Audry Vinum, all of Arcata, Merlin McLearn of Eureka, and Verona Randle of McKinleyville. Brother of Ronald McLearn of Grants Pass, Oregon, Ruth Burnette of Redway, Marjorie Young of Fremont, California, and Grace Bouller of Fairfax. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and numerous niece and nephews.
A native of Table Bluff, living most of his life in Fields Landing. Resident of Arcata for two years, and for the past four years, lived in Rio Dell. Retired from the Northwest Pacific Railroad after 44 years of services. Aged 76.
Services will be held at Chapel of the Ferns, Cooper Mortuary, Eureka, Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1969 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Claasen of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Arcata officiating. Active pallbearers: Lynn Vinum, Dennis McLearn, Bill McLearn, Lee McLearn, Bernard Colbert and David Valles; honorary pallbearers: John Ettline, Lynn Felt, Fred Lovfald, John Lovfald, Guy Rhodes, Carl Young and Curt Young. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery, Arcata.

Arthur's wife, Lucille Bernice (Butler) McLearn, born June 10, 1899 in Nevada, died August 21, 1987 in Humboldt County, CA.
