Lee was born July 17, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Hershel and Lela (Longfellow) Turner. He married Nancy K. Bear on Sept. 27, 1952, in Cedar Rapids. Lee was a route salesman for Colonial Bakery in Cedar Rapids, retiring after 30 years of service.
He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. Lee enjoyed woodworking, small engine repair and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; his son, James Edward Turner; his parents; two brothers; and three sisters.
