Edna grew up in Hessel with her six siblings. She married Harold Fredrick Soderlund on July 3, 1939, and they had three children. Edna enjoyed working in her yard and garden and ranged all over the 120 acres she owned that surrounded her home. When she could no longer be outside as much, she made many latch hook rugs.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; brothers, Albert and Charles Lindberg; and sisters, Delia Bickham, Mae Gustafson, and Ella Eseltine Cope.
