Jimmy Horton, age 95, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016, in Mountain Home. He was born December 20, 1920, in Marshall, Arkansas to Roy G. and Ruby D. (Wilcox) Horton.

Mr. Horton served in the United States Air Force. He married Charlene Passmore September 20, 1940, in Leslie, Arkansas. He was the owner/operator of the former Horton Jewelry in Mountain Home for 38 years. He is a member of the College and North Streets Church of Christ, where he served as an elder for 40 years.

Mr. Horton is survived by a daughter Charlotte Horton of Mountain Home, a son Dr. Joe Horton and wife Kathy of Fayetteville, two grandchildren Douglas Horton and wife Jennifer and Allison Adams and husband Anthony and a great granddaughter Brianna Adams all of Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers J.G. Horton and Everett Horton.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2016, at the College and North Streets Church of Christ with Ken Burton and Bill Dillon officiating. A visitation will be Friday from Noon until 9:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Mountain Home Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House or Truth for Today.
