Doris Walker

Doris Mae Gisclair Walker, 83, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off, died at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by one son, James “Pat” Walker Sr.; one daughter, Mary Carrell; one brother, Roy Joseph Gisclair; one sister, Annie Wiggins; three grandchildren, James Walker Jr., Heather Cantrelle and Matthew Carrell; and two great-grandchildren, Dawson Carrell and Alexia Carrell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin “Old Folks” Walker; her parents, Isaac Paul and Euphemie Bouziga Gisclair; two sons, Carl Walker and Johnny Marvin Walker; and one sister, Ruby Marie Guidry.
She was an avid cook and loved sewing and gardening.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
