He was born July 25, 1936, in Letart, WV, a son of the late Ross Winebrener and Dorothy Irene (Blessing) Winebrener.
He was a 1954 graduate of Wahama High School and resided in Columbus, OH, for 29 years before returning to Letart in 1983. He retired in 1998 from Hartly Manufacturing in Ravenswood, where he worked as an operator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Carla Daune (Owens) Winebrener; sisters, Florence Jean Ogilvie, Donna Sue Knapp (Tom); brother, Charles Bernard Winebrener (Janice) of . He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016, at Foglesong Funeral Home, Mason, WV. Burial will be in Letart-Evergreen Cemetery, Letart, WV. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
