Raymond P. "Buck" VanSickle, 91, of Akron, OH, died Saturday, December 20, 2003, at Somerset Hospital, Somerset, Pa.
Born October 21, 1912, in Friendsville, Md., he was a son of the late Charles Wesley and Susan Elizabeth (Fike) VanSickle.
He was preceded in death by two wives, the former Pauline Huff and Thelma Debolt, one daughter, Patricia Belcher; four sisters, and two brothers.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was a retired carpenter and member of the Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are two granddaughters, Sheila (Perry) Cain, and Shelly (Dave) Celetti; son-in-law, Charles Belcher and one grandson, Nathan Cain, all of Akron, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Avenue, Friendsville, Md. on Sunday 5-7 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday at 2 pm.
Interment will be in Addison Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.newmanfuneralhomes.com.
