Funeral services for Mr. Donald Ray Asken of Jonesboro , LA were held on Dec. 26, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. a the Garden of Memories in Jonesboro. Officiating was Randy Dark. Interment followed in the cemetery.
Visiting was from 9-11 A.M. on Saturday, Dec. 25, 2015 at Edmonds Funeral Home. He was 82.
Mr. Asken was self employed. He loved to be outside. He was very active, especially with his garden.
Survivors include one daughter, Renee Nash and husband Barnie of Jonesboro, LA. Two sons; Randy Asken of Winnfield, LA and Ricky Asken and wife Kathryn of Pineville, LA. Five grandchildren, Dena Thomas, Mathew Nash, and wife Sherri, Ryand Jay Howell and Cory Asken. Mr. Asken has nine great-grandchildren. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. Mr. Asken is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Mr. Askens is preceded in death by his parents, Carol Asken and Gladys Alexander Martin; his wife, Margaret Ann Robinson Asken, one sister; Shirley Rae Askin and two brothers; Eldon L. Askin and Glen A. Askin.
Pallbearers were Matthew Nash, Reggie Askin, Corey Askin, Barine Nash, Ricky Asken and Randy Asken.
