Charles A. Butterfoss, after several weeks' illness, died at his home, No 217 north Union street, this city, on Monday morning, October 5th, in the 74th year of his age. He had been a resident of this city for about seven years, and before coming to Lambertville conducted a general store at Barbertown, Hunterdon county. He had been a salesman for the Singer Sewing Machine co. for about forty years. He was a member of the official board of Centenary Methodist Church and was a member of Flemington lodge of Red Men. The funeral service was held in the Methodist church this Thursday afternoon, with Rev. P. R. Comer officiating and interment at Rosemont.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Butterfoss, and three children, William Butterfoss, of Alco, N. J.; Earle Buutterfoss (typo in the 1925 paper), of Flemington, and Mrs. Myrtle Jamison, of Riegelsville, Pa.
