PHYLLIS LAURA ANNABLE, (nee Hatton), died peacefully at home on November 1, 2015, at the age of 94. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Kentosh (Tucson, AZ). Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Nettie and Norman Hatton. She was a stewardess for United Airlines when she met Peter Foster Annable, and they were married in 1945. Peter, a WWII Navy veteran, died on Veteran's Day 2005. A loving mother to Susan, she also cherished the dogs she had over the years. Phyllis loved all travel, but international trips were her favorite. She never returned from a trip without having made new friends, connections which were life-long. Phyllis was still downhill skiing when she was 78, and she remained active until she had a cerebral hemorrhage in early 2007. Gracious, cheerful and lovely, she was always an optimist and enjoyed everything life had to offer. She loved her family and friends, was an excellent cook, gardener, and neighbor. A private memorial service will be held at a future date. Thanks to the loving care of, Mary (Teena) Stringer and her family, Phyllis passed her final years in love and safety.
