Irene E. Hill age 103 passed away January 11, 2016 at her home with her family by her side.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM., Friday January 15, 2016 at Maple Hill Funeral Home. Services will be 10 AM., Saturday January 16, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Kansas City Hospice of the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
Irene was born May 14. 1912 in Ozawkie, KS to Frank and Eliza Gier.
She worked for the KCKS School District #500 for over 30 years and retiring in 2004. She was an active member in the Rebekah Lodge, Odd Fellows Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal order of Eagles #87, Eastern Star, Relief Corp. and Order of True Kindred.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Clyde W. Hill. She was also preceded in death by her sons: Gene Hill, Bennie Hill, Donald Hill, Wayne Hill and daughter: Mary Elizabeth Hill and 5 brothers.
She is survived by her sons: Fred V. Hill (Sue), David A. Hill (Deborah), Nancy Luikart, Betty Kimble (Curtiss), daughter in law: Diane Hill, 28 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and 38 great great grandchildren combined.
