Ed was born in East Rochester, ,Ohio living in Mansfield area since 1966. He was a construction forman and a member of the Friends Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He did beautiful woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 37 yrs. Carol Stanley Cox whom he married April 8 1966; His Mother Bertha Beatrice Saling Cox of East Rochester, Ohio; Two daughters and a son-in law, Danette Adkins and Michelle and Brent Rastetter, all of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Rodney, Jessica, Michael, Brandon, Collin and Caden; Two brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd and Pat Cox and Paul and Sandy Cox all of East Rochester; and two sisters and brother-in-laws, Gladys and Paul Cox from Berlin Center, Ohio and Shirley and Bill McCartney of Bloomingdale, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Emerson Cox; and a sister Geraldine Smiley.
His funeral was conducted by Rev. Jack Sharp.
