One child of Jefferson Davis Chalk, Sr. and Allinee Hobbs was left out - my grandfather, Alfred Franklin Chalk, Sr. He was born 15 Oct 1882 in Comanche, Comanche Co., TX and died 11 Aug 1948 in McAllen, Hidalgo Co., TX. Married Ollie Finley (1885 - 1963) on 4 Sept 1912. A list of children with parents can be found on 1900 census, Jones Co., TX, Pct. #4, E. D. #117, S. D. #4 dated 4 June 1900, sheet 2-A: J. D. Chalk, 42, Lena, wife, 36, - then lists children starting with my grandfather, Alfred F., 17, b: Oct 1882 in TX. My father, Alfred Franklin Chalk, Jr. was their only child. He died in 21 Sept 1985 in Bryan, Brazos Co., TX.
