Ruby Eloise Foley Henson, 73, formerly of Mexia, passed away January 10, 2016, in Kirvin, Texas.Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home prior to the graveside service. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2016, in Woodland Cemetery in Kirvin.

Ruby was born in Groesbeck, Texas, to the late J.B. and Zadie Tumlison Foley. She retired from the Mexia State School after 20 years of service.

Ruby was known for being kind, strong willed, hard-headed and a loving person. Due to health conditions, she has resided in Kirvin for the past two years with her daughter, Christy, which allowed her more of an opportunity to really enjoy her grandchildren. Ruby enjoyed sewing, especially with her dear friend, Betty (Little Bit).

She was preceded in death by her husband, H.T. Henson; a daughter, Ruby Hagg; and a son, Leonard Henson.

Survivors include her sons, Henry Henson and wife, Maria, of Ben Wheeler, and Jason Henson, of Mexia; daughter, Christy Hogan and husband, Joe, of Kirvin; grandchildren: Misty Smith, Stormy Oakes, and Billy Hardy; great-grandchildren: Makayla, Wyatt and Colbi Hogan, Grace and Christian Smith, Ansley and Westyn Oakes; and brother, O’Neal Foley, of Farrar, Texas; other relatives and many friends.
