Charlie Travis Hardin of Elk City, OK passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Elk City, Oklahoma. Charlie was born December 18, 1941 to Travis and Wanda (Barber) Hardin in Shattuck, Oklahoma.

Charlie graduated high school from Miami, Texas. After high school Charlie went to work in the oilfield until 1986 when he moved to Foss Lake to operate the marina.

Charlie loved skiing, fishing, and hunting and was at the marina until 1991 when he returned to the oilfield, where he worked until he retired in 2015.

Charlie loved his wife, kids, grandkids, and friends. Charlie loved his collection of guns, knives, fishing poles and gun books.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Roberta Hardin, and a stepson, Clint Wright.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; 3 children, Terrel Hardin and wife, Debbie, Canadian, Texas, Tim Hardin and wife, Patricia, Amarillo, Texas, Ty Hardin and wife, Tyna, Arnett, Oklahoma; 3 stepdaughters, Rhonda Boyd and husband, Leon, South Carolina, Becky Helton and husband, Clem, Briscoe, Texas, Shayna Castor and husband, Curtis, Woodward, Oklahoma; a stepson, Jared Jones and wife, Crystal, Burns Flat, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Wendell Hardin, Illinois; 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
