Passed away at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health - Crawfordsville.

Daughter of Orville and Ruby Kennedy Booe.
Formerly married to Richard Mathis. They divorced.
Survivors include daughter Kathryn (Johnny) Barnes; sister Linda Kester; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sisters Joyce Ann Lyons and Hilda Teagarden and brother Fred Booe.

Attended Hillsboro High School.

Thelma formerly worked at Radio Material Corp. in Attica. She and her husband owned and operated the Sunny Inn in Veedersburg for a few years. She later worked at Bob’a’Lou’s Restaurant in Veedersburg.

Thelma was raised in the Baptist faith.

She enjoyed cooking, sewing and taking long walks. She enjoyed spending time on her front porch visiting with people and spending time with her special great-grandson, Julian.

Service 8pm Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Tim Lyons officiating. Visitation 5-8pm.
