He was born October 12, 1924 in Croswell, son of the late Glen and Gladys (Long) Moran. Donald and Eleanor M. (Dennison) married on December 27, 1947 in Bowling Green, OH.
Donald was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII. He was a machine repairman, who worked for Chrysler, Firestone, American Tape, and was also self employed.
Donald is survived by his wife Eleanor; 3 daughters, Diane (Jim) Marcum of Oscoda, Linda (Ralph) Fraley of Chesterfield, and Barbara (John) Walsh of Memphis; 8 grandchildren, Bob, Jackie, John, Shawn, Michael, Carrie, Ryan, and Kristy; 21 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; and 1 brother, Ted (Iliene) of Croswell.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Robert and Max, and sister Wanda Lewis, and granddaughter Terri.
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Monday, January 11 at the Pomeroy Funeral Home, Croswell. Burial will be in the Croswell Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 10 from 1-5 PM
Military Rites by the Croswell American Legion Post #255 will take place at Croswell Cemetery.
