Mack Larren Kelly 1936 - 2016
Mack Larren Kelly, 79, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on January 5, 2016. He was born on February 5, 1936 to William Avery "Buck" Kelly and Maude Irene Berg Kelly. He is preceded in death by his parents, his infant daughter, Carol Denise Kelly, four brothers, William "Buddy", Jack, Ted, James "Butch", and three sisters, Bobby June Alford, Norma "Sister" Reynolds and Charlotte Sabota.He is survived by one brother, Ray Kelly, and one sister, Joan Thomas. He is also survived by three daughters, Wanda Kelly Kotick, Nancy (Tom) Morgan, Susan Kelly and six grandchildren, Jacob, Caleb and Hannah Kotick and Kristi and Mack Dallen and Sean Morgan. He is also survived by dear friends, Krys Eldreth, Gene Wells, Carl Kee, Tom Ballard, Ron "Digger" Dean, and Butch Crooke. Mack served our country in the Army/Army National Guard.He worked at Gulf Coast Paving and Grading for over 35 years as a draftsman and estimator.Mack was a true sportsman in every sense of the word and his passion in life was fishing. He loved to share his catch with others, especially fresh fillets of mullet. He will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity.A memorial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on February 6, 2016, at Big Lagoon State Park, Governor's Pavillon. This will be a "celebration of his life" so please honor him by wearing your favorite sports or fishing attire.In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his honor to the Bill Hargreaves Annual Fishing Rodeo which is held each Father's Day weekend or to Covenant Hospice Joyce Goldenberg Residence, 5041 N. 12th Avenue, Pensacola, FL, 32504.A special thanks to all of the nurses and aides at Santa Rosa Health and Rehab and Joyce Goldenberg Hospice.
