He was born in Illinois on September 7, 1935 to Bart and Eva Cleone (Parrish) Bennett.
He was a retired truck driver and a member of the United Church of the Nazarene. Wesley enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, traveling, woodworking and cooking food to share with his neighbors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 brother: Nolan Bennett and 4 sisters: Helen Kurtz, Opal Smith, Ima Buckner and Doris Burgess.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Wanda Bennett

Services will be 11:00 AM Monday January 11, 2016 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel.

Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole with military rites conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post 40 Honor Guard.
