OPINION: The announcement of E. L. Lufkin of this city, as a candidate for the republican nomination for county ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~. Mr. Lufkin was born in Glenwood and has ever made the town his home. For the past eleven years he has been connected with the D. L. Heinsheitner store and is now at the head of their clothing department. He is a young man of more than usual intelligence and ability, and has a record as a working republican which will stand him in good stead now that he seeks a nomination at the hands of his party. If nominated he will be elected by a grand majority.
