"He was licensed to exhort in the Methodist Episcopal Church on Oct. 12, 1855 and licensed to preach in the following year." He died in Brazil June 24, 1894. His widow returned to Mississippi and was later buried in Bethesda Cemetery east of Gallman in Copiah County, Mississippi."
